So people always make having a valentine such a big deal and it really shouldn’t be. Don’t get me wrong, I am a sucker for love but like show me love on every other day too! Receiving chocolate and flowers etc from your boo should be something that’s done on the regular or randomly. It’s sort of cheesy to do it on February 14th just because society says that’s when you should. I know I probably sound super bitter right now but I’m not, I have a bae I’m just saying lol. Before getting caught up in having someone to take you out and buy you things on the 14th, take care of you! You gotta love yourself more than anyone can love you. So instead of sulking about not finding love in time for Valentine’s Day, here’s a list of things you can do to love you!

1. Take a bubble bath
I heard Lush has really cool bath bombs, and if you don’t have a tub, light some candles from Anthropologie and take a long steamy shower.

2. Splurge!
We all have bills but it’s okay to buy yourself something really nice every once in a while. If doing this on Valentine’s Day helps to ease the pain, shit do it!

3. Spa Day
Getting a massage, facial, mani and pedi are all things we sometimes forget to do but are super essential to self-love. And if you don’t have spa day funds do it yourself! It does the same job & teaches you to enjoy your own company.

4. Grab another single friend & go out or not!
There’s always another single friend in the group, grab them and go out for drinks. Bask in the fact that you’re single and can do what you want! And if you don’t want to see all the couples that night, buy a bottle of your fav drink & chill at home.

5. Binge watch tv
Get a ton of snacks and set up shop on your couch to binge watch tv. Find a new series on Netflix or watch some of your favorite movies, you’ll definitely forget it’s even Valentine’s Day.

6. Do absolutely nothing!
Since you have no obligations to go anywhere, use that time to rest up. Idk sleeping makes me happy. Nothing is more relaxing than laying in bed with headphones in listening to good music and dosing off.

I hope this was helpful to some of my single readers and even to those who have a Valentine. No one will ever love you like you love you, so it’s important to actually be okay being alone.
BTW I had a little too much fun doing this shoot lol Happy Valentine’s Day Dolls! XoXo
